I am a nurse, which is a lot tugging, lifting, bending going on. Thankfully I have been with this one company seen the start of my career 18 yrs ago. I am a manager over a 44 bed unit. My staff is very understanding, knowing how I am such a go getter from the start, and now they are like “ “We Got It, go sit down please.” From late January to March, I’ve use plenty of sick days... or either worked 5-6 per day. I have been easing back into 40 hours a week in the last month. I listen to them but most of all I listen to my body. Ask God for directions in your life concerning the next steps to take in your career. Remember Not Our Will But His Will Be Be Done. And as I typing this I realize I’m not only instructing you but this goes for myself as well ! He Got US!!
Thank you everyone! Work has been the most stressful. And in the process of diagnosis, I'm struggling to keep up. I think I will have to change jobs but I have hope from everyone's answers.
Amen TangennickaWilliams, I work for UPS so the lifting, bending, stretching, wearing on the body for the past 23 years I know all too well. I have had to adjust my way of working, I am able some of the time to switch up the exact job I do for the day and how I do it..which has helped, I have started trigger point massage therapy and that has seemed to help me trememdously and i was a sceptic when first beginning this treatment. But first and foremost I ask God daily if it is his will to help me through the day of work and then when I finish i always remember to thank him for his mercy and grace! With God ALL things are possible without HIM NOTHING is possible!
I had to quit working and completely come up with a different dream career. This illness completely messed up what I wanted to do
My job is very stressful and my diagnosis is new as well...not sure what I’m going to do.... but I’m hopeful that an opportunity will present itself.
