Prednisone and rest. Nothing else helps me.

I agree I'm on Prednisone now for a bad flare up, it's the only thing that makes it tolerable. My face started holding fluid this time, and is swollen, so steroids and antibiotics.

When flaring I add on prednisone and muscle relaxants and use heating pads or ice packs & Tylenol. 😘

For a bad flare I take Prednisone and rest. Unfortunately I sleep very badly while on prednisone. Even with prednisone there is always pain until the flare is over. I watch TV as a distraction in the daytime and listen to music at night. I have never taken any other pain medication. Thankfully my husband is wonderful and does all the cooking, cleaning etc when I am in a flare. I don't know how i would manage without him.
