Gulf Shores, AL

Since being on my medications, I've noticed my skin is a lot more sensitive to heat (hot water, etc,) and I've also found spicy food (which I love) is too hot/spicy for me to eat, it just sets my mouth on fire like crazy, even mild spice does this. Has anyone else noticed these type of issues? I take plaquenil and Hydroxychloriquine for my routine daily meds.

There are periods of time I can’t eat ANYTHING without my mouth burning. Forget spices altogether....I won’t even attempt them

My tongue also swells and cracks.

I have bit test positive for Sjogrens yet but we suspect I have it. Either that or it part of the Lupus

Hi There,

Yes spicy food gives me burning sensation and I feel suffocated. The same with tea/coffee.

From what I know both
plaquenil and hydroxychloriquine are the same. Plaquenil is the branded name.

Cold butter milk helps (I do organic A2 milk) with a small piece of ginger.

Take Care
