I used to work as a bra specialist; most women complain about it and most women wear the wrong size bra too! Try going up in band size and down in cup size.

Ex.: if your a 36D; try on a 38C

The band always makes the cups bigger. So going down in cup size will keep the balance. This is called your “sister size”

Yup! Some days the pressure around my rib cage is unbearable, as well as the stress on my skin and shoulders. Never liked going braless becz my breasts would ache, but I do so now if I am at home. Switching to cupless sports bras has helped a great deal - plus with sport bras, I can usually get exrays and scans without having to change into a hospital gown - especially if I wear sweat pants and sneakers without metal lace holes!
Sports bras come in dozens of colors now, different styles, and most have wide waist bands that sit lower , which takes the pressure of my achey ribs, the shoulder straps r less biting, and the soft material is so much easier on my skin. I think they gave even relieved some of my upper back pain!

I wear a sports bra most of the time. But if I'm at the house I don't wear one. They are indeed painful. Funny thing, I use padding from old swimsuit and put it under my boobs and on sides so it's not so uncomfortable. It actually works wonders

I have been going without at home and whenever I can get away with it. At work I wear very old stretchy sports bras and loose fitting tops to hide the sag. I have a few fitted underwire bras that I save for specific outfits but I rarely wear them.
