These headaches are not migraines, they have tried all kinds of prescriptions and nothing has worked except for steroids. I’m going to see a neurologist soon but wondered if anyone else has had this issue.
I have them all the time, its mainly when im having a flare its the inflammation, no meds worked for me until my neurologist put me on gabapentin and trokendi
You guys are awesome! Thanks for letting me no that Plaquenil can help reducing the headaches. If there's any othrr lupus medication that has helped with lupus headaches/migraines, please let me know. Hope you all have a good day today! 💙
I do get them, @A MyLupusTeam Member. I have seen a neurologist over the years and had brain scans. My rheumy and my neuro tell me there is such a thing as "lupus headaches" caused by inflammation.
I've had chronic migraines for 13 years and nothing seems to helpvwith reducing the frequency of the headaches. I have had head and sinus pain and not directly associated or typical for migraines and I'm wondering if they are associated with lupus. I was diagnosed with lupus this week. Does anyone else had difficult migraines that have been linked to lupus?
I was also told about Lupus headaches.
