I have been experiencing abnormal bowel movements (loose, fatty, floating) intermittent for 6 months now. I also had some pain after eating and bloating. I was diagnosed with Cutaneous Lupus this past January and with SLE this past May. This past October my primary ordered an upper abdominal ultrasound that revealed my liver was slightly enlarged and my gallbladder had sludge build up. I wasn't given the results for more than 3 weeks and then called to make a follow up appointment because the… read more

Get that call at least see surgeon get his opinion. Very good points made about emergency surgery vs scheduled. Update us when you get thru to the VA. Good luck.

Ive had this same issue for months now, my liver is so inflammed they have tested me for hepatitis over 5 times which was negative and yet they cant explain to me why i have lesions on my liver or a inflammed liver for that matter, shoot they cant even tell me why my colon was inflammed. But all test for my liver functions are normal. Im convinced its lupus just attacking every vital organ that it can take over

Knowledge is power. Educate yourself then listen to your body mind and soul with this struggle. Sounds like your doing your homework while waiting for call Great. But that is stress waiting for that dr to call. With autoimmune a lot of waiting I noticed. You probably used to it lol. Hang in there girl.

Still no answers as to why I haven't been contacted by the surgeon the V.A. referred me to. They said I should be getting a call soon. I am doing better with watching what I eat so it's buying me time but I am in the same boat still though where my lab work is saying everything is fine but my imaging tells a different story. And since my lab work isn't alarming the problem seems to not be a priority. I'm leaning towards trying some holistic fasting and vitamins and minerals route to see if my body will begin to break down the fats in my liver and relieve the inflammation on its own. I'm learning a lot about the body's functions and what happens when certain things go out of whack and I feel like it will be incredibly difficult but possible to rebalance my body if I am restructuring what I put in it. Dr. Eric Burg on fb has a ton of videos that I have found really informative and helpful so far if anyone else is interested in checking him out! (I am not a sponsor in any way with him. I just really like how he breaks down information and really helps you understand just about anything that has to do with functions of the body.)
