Just curious if anyone with lupus has had covid or currently has it? If you have, feel free to share your story.

How is everyone staying safe during this time?

I had covid19 for over 30 days. Went to ER on day 12 or 13 and back two days later. They finally admitted me on day 14 of covid but only four days.
Fever came on strong at night....no sleep just pain and fear.
Pain was worse the first few days. It felt like all around my bones was in severe pain and then these shooting pains all over even in my fingers .
This is not the flu and I'm sick of people downplaying it.
Severity levels differ amongst individuals.
Diarrhea for a few days every 30 mins to an hour. It was the red Gatorade i was drinking that was coming out.
It felt like a monster came after me every night.
Couldn't expectorate anything for over two weeks.
Make sure you do the breathing exercises!! They help expand the alveoli in your lungs. Lie on your stomach and breathe deeper than usual for about ten mins. Don't sleep on your back.
I'm the only person at my work who had it that long.

Uh oh, I hope you feel better!
Diagnosing autoimmune diseases can be tricky, especially with lupus since it mimics many other sicknesses.
Another thing about lupus that makes it tricky to diagnose, is the fact that all lupus patients have different symptoms and levels of severity!
I myself, have felt the sharp chest pain with a very bad lupus flare in the past, as well as body aches and ear pain.
I hope you get the answers you’re seeking very soon!
Feel free to message me with any questions, because I have many years of experience with lupus and I am a Registered Nurse as well :) xx

Yes, we have had some family with Covid.
I am staying home mostly. Always wear a mask when I do go out.

I think I had, but I didn't go to hospital, only an emergency health centre, a few days before the disease broke loose. I lost smell and had a horrible high airway infection, with a cough and a mild chest tightness that lasted for more than 2 months. It ended with a 1 month long conjunctivitis. Never been tested, so not sure. But symptoms seem to match.
