I used to never get fevers. A few years before I was diagnosed I would have fevers here and there. Ever since when I got diagnosed, I had fevers a lot. My pcp and rheumatologist have said it is a lupus related symptom. My low grade fevers I've had lately among lots of joint pain are keeping me out of the lab to get some very important lab work checking on my kidneys and other things. I have low grade fevers between 98.7 and 100 a lot. It gets ignored at the doctors and ruins everything else for… read more

A low grade fever is very common with Certain types of Autoimmune disease, i experienced them for over 10 years. Using gel ice packs can help tremedously. Inwould lay on them for 30 minutes at a time to cool down. My doctors could not do anything for the low grade fevers either. Umfortunatley its part of the autoimmune response. Loss of hand control, muscle control is all normal too, many of us experience multiple different symptoms. You are not alone in what you are going through, even though its very frustrating. Stress makes our symptoms worse. Its best to reconize when you are in a flare and take it easy on yourself till it calms down. We need much rest. Take time to sit and listen to music or anything but you need to rest when you are not feeling well.

Its normal and not much you can do to stop it. I do the same as @A MyLupusTeam Member, i explain that i have lupus and low grades are my normal at times. If its not over their temp acceptance they allow me to proceed with my biz. Def takes some time to get use to if you ever can. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I also usually run low grade fevers. When I go places and they check temps I tell them I have Lupus and tend to run low grade and that I am not sick with Covid, etc. They usually are very understanding, especially at medical facilities.

I have headache every day, I have chills but my temp is never elevated to the point that would be considered a fever. My normal temp run between 95.8 to 96.6 so for me the 98.6 to 98.9 is a fever for me, so I’m thinking that’s why I have chills and keep my feet and legs covered with a light blanket. Does anyone else experience this.
