Hey, I’m just wondering if anybody here tested negative for anti-dsDNA but was still diagnosed with lupus? I’ve gotten soooo much bloodwork done in the last several months and so far all I have positive are ANA, anticardiolipin, and anti-histone antibodies. My anti-dsDNA was just below the positive range, like it was so close. My kidneys always show up fine in urine tests and I have chronically low white blood cells. Have went through the same thing for almost six years now. Symptoms continue to get worse rash fever swollen glands joints migraines nose bleeds brain fog slurs speech. Swelling, weight gain fluid build up in the lungs. Kidney stones have just started. Dry eyes mouth change in voice, but they had know answers could see it all happing. I kept fighting until I had someone say that lupus is hard to detect at time but clinical signs are all present. Fibromyalgia was ruled out right away. ANA was positive signs of Sjögren’s syndrome showed up,
Had criticality high liver enzymes showing inflammation. But I thought I was going to dye before I got someone to listen and run the right test. What I found out that there are way more to test that just your average lupus test. It can affect so much more and you have no idea. My liver my kidneys and heart were all at risk. And apparently it was all in my head and I was just lazy and had a virus. Stay strong! We are, are own advocate. Keep going change doctors find different rheumatologist if you have to. Not everyone is for you but there are those that are. You will know. If you are a person of faith, pray like crazy and ask god to guide you and help and he will. Prayers for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
@A MyLupusTeam Member my AVISE index was a -2. The test did the whole antibody panel, all was negative except for my ANA and the anticardiolipin. The first time i got blood drawn for the AVISE test I felt awful that day, so i was confident the test would show things. But a week later the lab called and had collected my blood wrong so i had to go back and do it again on a day I felt better
I feel so sorry for my self at the moment
My lips stick to my teeth
My cheeks are in shreads in side my glans are swollen
I went of the plaquenell because it is affecting my eye very badly no more driving
My dones back leg and fingers are killing me
I am so fed up trying to stay positive
@A MyLupusTeam Member how long between the dsDNA test? I read those tests can change over time with treatment or remission and is used to assess if treatment is working. Sorry you are also having trouble with getting an accurate diagnosis
