Hey y'all, but
I was finally able to receive my COVID vaccine last month. The side effects I had from that shot were odd. Around two hours after the shot, I became tired, and listening to my body I took a nap for a few hours and after I woke up every bone that met with a joint hurt, my arm was mildly sore, and I was extremely hyperactive. The pain didn't last very long but the hyperactivity lasted around 4 days! I've never experienced anything like that before, in my life! Around the two-week… read more

Oh, my word!! We seem to have similar issues. The first dose I received flared up my joints as well, but mine didn't last long. However, as soon as the flare dissipated the grand mal seizure occurred. My arm remained sore for over a week and mine itched as well. I had to buy cream to put on it because it was so bad. I didn't notice it but I also had itching on my back and my head. I was awake one night digging away with the wooden scratcher I have and I didn't think about it then but now that you said that I had an Ah-Ha! Moment. The second dose is the one that did me in. Since it seems we're all reacting to this thing differently hopefully yours will not be as bad as mine. It's been a week since I had my 2nd dose and I'm still experiencing swollen joints and I have a pretty gnarly lupus rash starting at my collar bones and going straight up the center of my neck almost to my chin. I've never had a rash here before. It itches so much and burns at the same time. I've put everything I have on it to relieve symptoms but it doesn't help. I had a fever, 100.9, pop up last night also and I thought that had stopped. I've also noticed excessive sweating on my head only! I was cooking last night and started to sweat and before I knew it my head was soaked again. And I wish I was exaggerating when I say that but I'm not. It looks like I've just gotten out of the shower. I'm not the type of person who sweats excessively I never have, so to have this happening is bizarre. I know it has to be attributed to that vaccine because this wasn't happening before I took it! Finally, the last symptom is a lack of appetite. Since last week I've had very little interest in eating food. Instead, I've been drinking to ensure so I'm at least receiving some nutrients. I hope it all passes soon and honestly, I don't think I could handle a booster of this, after this experience.
I will add you to my prayers and keep me updated on your vaccine journey. Much L💜VE! Stay strong! 🤗 🤗
I had my 1st shot 3 weeks ago and have had some strange reactions. The 1st week was fine except for a little tenderness in the arm the 1st day after getting the shot. A week after I got it the area of the arm I got the shot in swelled up got hot to touch, tender and very itchy and a flare up of my joints. That lasted about 4 days but the itchiness has never left. Then the second week I experienced the same reaction lasting about 3 days. This week it came back again and lasted 2 days, but area still itchy. I'm due for my 2nd shot next week and a little nervous about getting it. When I was diagnosed with Lupus was after a Tetanus shot. Within 3 days I wasn't able to walk without assistance and was house bound for 8 months before I was able to return to normal activity. I don't want to return to that state.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I’m never going to take it, ever. It takes your immune system. Thus, your body has no defenses. Please don’t take anymore.
I didn't experience more than a slightly sore arm with both shots. It would be useful if we did have some data on how most lupies reacted to the vaccine. We will probably need boosters next year so it would be helpful to know. So sorry you had such a terrible experience.
