Has anybody been denied of ssi benefits with lupus.. and had to do an appeal form… can you tell me your experiences ?? I was denied after i was approved after a few years .. and they did a review on my case .. im worried because i have sle lupus , bullos lupus as well as other problems
I was denied several times. Each time my lawyer would dispute and disprove their reasoning. I won. They try to wear you down. However I am tenacious. It's a process. PPL rarely get get approved on the first attempt. Check around and find out who the best disability lawyer is. My sister is a para legal. She asked some lawyers she knew. Thats how I got a good reference.
You must explain all the ways your condition effects YOUR WORK. How often are you "off task", how many times do you miss work. You have to prove that regardless of how much you try, your can't be a good employee. Its NOT about how much you hurt UNLESS it effects your work.
I got long term disability from my job for 2 years and they hired a lawyer for me to get SSI but I got denied twice and just gave up after that. Lawyer told me that I had every bit of reason and medical documentation to get approved but I was denied because of my age, I was 27 then 30 now. Ive thought about reapplying but as of now im going to try to work. I think everyones experience with SSI is different but almost everyone I know got denied at least once and had to file an appeal
Prayers for all of you ! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I am actually waiting to hear on my reconsideration. It's been almost two years since I filed using an attorney. I am 58 years old with four autoimmune diseases, including SLE. I also have cervical stenosis and other back problems. It's a crazy system.
They denied my lupus but accepted that I have depression due to lupus crazy right
