Good morning Lupie family. Anyone have eye pressure what kind of eye drops you use and side effects? I was told Timolol but I read it can cause heart beats slower and its beta blocker makes you bp really low. Any suggestion will help. I went to opthamologist and he want to put me in eye drops. The one I used before cause me blurry vision and redness and I stop the drops. Happy Friday to all and Blessed one..

So along with my Graves disease, I have Graves eye disease ( in remission now) however it causing eye pressure to the point of protruding eyeballs that appear to others as staring. The Dr at Duke eye gave me the best advice , as well
As my eye dr currently because I have severe dry eye as well as sebum( oil) blockage in both eyes.
1. Take Selenium daily( it is a mineral and 100% helped me at my worst !
2. Elevate the head of your bed if possible
3. Use preservative free drops( recent dr recommended Refresh Optive Advanced)
4.heated eye mask 10 minutes a day( I microwave it before bed and put it on as soon as I go to bed. It’s also relaxing! You can buy it on Amazon it has micro beads in it. The brand is called (Bruder)

Hope this helps!!
P.S. The eye mask is good for all the Lupies!!

My wife has a sight problem called Type 2 juxtafoveal telangiectasia which I believe was caused by taking hydroxychloroquine although this may not affect everyone. She has no central vision and limited peripheral vision with no treatment available. She does recommend Artelac eye drops to help lubricate your eyes if you suffer from grittiness.

Good morning Henry.. They did laser iridotomy both eyes 4 years ago. My left pressure is good 20 but the right eye is 30 which kind high. He didn't mentioned about glaucoma but he did say high pressure can cause glaucoma down the road. My mother just got her done laser and she able to see better than before. Do you know what kind of eye drops that better to use for eye pressure. Hopefully mine will fix with eye drops. he said my eyes is healthy other than the eye pressure on the right. Thank you Henry enjoy your weekend.

Genlanco doctor said it’s not the hydrochloriquine and my eyes is good taking that meds. My mom is 68 she had glaucoma and they laser it and she able to see better. Doctor said eye pressure can cause glaucoma down the road esp if it’s high. My right eye is 30 and they want to keep it to to 20 or less. My left eye is 20 which is good. Get your eye check because it can run through family. Let me know what your eye doctor said Genlanco hugs ♥️
