Sorry to ask does everyone here with Lupus or auto immune diseases took the Pfizer shot for Covid? Any reaction or bad flare after the shot? My mother pushing me to get Covid shots not sure what to do. Thank you all

Hi love, i wont be able to help you with that one I havent been vaccinated at all and its been 2 years no covid thank God. But i suppose its different based on your situation. I work from home and do a lot of grocery pickup and still wear my masks. Also my doctor recommended that i didnt get any vaccines but thats due to my health and heart problems. He was also concerned that it might make my immune system attack me instead of the vaccine doing me any justice. Your brother may be right but no one will ever know, the vaccines always end up being a political discussion instead of a discussion about how it actually affects our health. My doctor is pretty good and both him and my rheumy said the same thing. Because i have organ involvement and my immune system never acts right even with certain meds so they’re like no dont take it just stay precautious. U should ask your doctor they should have the best answer for u

@A MyLupusTeam Member yes love ive been quite absent lately lol new job new issues so havent really had time to get on here but i try as much as i can. I missed u and my lupus family and thought about u all quite a lot. I hope that u feel better soon hun, allergic reactions to medications might be a reason for them to tell u no, im allergic to meds too and that was one of the primary reasons besides my health that they told me not to get it. They also mentioned that u never know how your immune system will respond to new antibodies being added into your immune system. For me it attacks me instead of doing its job. I hope your doctor can provide u with some answers love
