A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone experienced a fractured jaw bone (not due to an injury) where the bone breaks through the gum all the way back by the last molar?

So sorry to hear that. My suggestion to you is have a panoramic set of x-rays on both sides of your jaw to make sure there is no bone debridement. Jaw pain is debilitating and if you can prevent an actual fracture you'll save yourself from alot of pain.

I haven’t had a fracture but bone pain lower and upper jaw and up to ear and cheek bone on 1 side. It keeps me awake. It feels like a bad toothache.

Thanks, it's not something I would wish on anyone. I've already been through the oral surgery and see my rheumatologist this week. Initial thought is that this was caused by prolia.
