Do any of you notice that you suffer from TMJ or find yourself grinding your teeth or biting down a lot? I have been doing that a lot more and now have to get teeth removed and more fill-ins because of it. Just curious
When my sjogrens is acting up I have this problem. Comes and goes. Hang in there, it does get better.
I had TMJ. There was an orthodontist/dentist in my area that specialized in non-surgical options. He used me as a case study; Lol. Anyway, my jaw is the only part of me that doesn’t hurt anymore.
This is so interesting! I have found myself clenching so much more in the last year (started Plaquenil in Nov '22, diagnosed officially in Dec '22) and it's been really bad these last few weeks. Thanks for posting the question. Not sure what to do about it, but at least I know it's not necessarily just me.
I've been clenching my teeth in my sleep. It didn't start until 3 or 4 years ago. I got bite guards to sleep in and that has helped a lot.
I know I am clenching my teeth in my sleep. I have a mouth guard, but I need to get it changed again as my bite has changed once again. Every time I have to get it changed or adjusted, it costs money, so I just don't bother. I would be at the jaw specialist two or three times a month, because my bite changes from tight muscles.
