Even when I'm not suffering from a cold or flu, I experience random coughing fits. They are so uncontrollable, I have to seek refuge away from others. It can get ugly. I have been experiencing them every night, sometimes twice in one night, all winter. I've tried water, cough drops, humidifier and nothing helps one bit.

Still having the coughing fits at night, along with a flare the last few days. It's definitely sjogrens syndrome. My body is just not happy right now. I will quit the gluten, eat healthy, keep exercising and see what happens.

Brochospasm! Sounds like a good lead! I will definitely check that out!

Interesting-never would have thought of that.
I am not a cougher, but I imagine that may come down the road

Unfortunately, the Sjogren's can attack the lungs--a problem I've had, too. Did you have PFTs (lung function tests)?
