The last part of March last year, I started having pain in my right side that wouldn't go away. I went to my primary care doctor, who sent me to have a sonogram done of my gallbladder, and it turned out that it was severely infected and needed to come out. When I had the emergency surgery done the first week of April, it turned out that not only had it been infected, but was Necrotic
I have no idea what caused it, but am thinking that it would have possibly been caused by my Lupus. Until… read more

Reading yalls stories regarding the problems yall had, reminded me that at the same time I was dxd with Lupus, I was dxd with Severe Fibromyalgia as well. I was in my late 20s at that time. Soon after, I applied for disability because I was in such pain, and had so many problems with not only getting my medication to the correct cocktail, I couldn't work in my same career anymore. I am a Phlebotomist, and I really miss doing that.

I had to had my gallbladder out at around age 28, I’m 43 now. They said it was inflamed and not functioning well. I started having attacks. Have had very high liver enzymes with it. I feel like for me it was part autoimmune and part lifestyle. They never found gallstones. The way I was eating was triggering it. Boy, I had an ice cream phase that got me in the ER. I was eating a lot of fatty foods.

Hugs to you. Thank you for your insight. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had similar issues with Lupus affecting internal organs.
I just remembered that right around the same time I was dx'd with Lupus, is when I was dx'd with the problem with my eyes. Something that my Neuro-Opthamologist said that I had some scarring on the backs of my eyes..
