I started having a droopy left eyelid with subsequent double vision for distance. All tests were done and the neurologist and after ruling out other diseases, he determined it was cranial nerve damage due to lupus as I had previously tested positive for cardiolipins. Will be seeing eye specialist to determine what can be done other than wearing an eye patch!
Thank you. Susan
Yes, double vision can occur if vasculitis affects the nerves controlling eye movement. If you notice even a partial vision loss, it's important to see your eye doctor right away. Treatment usually involves oral steroids and other immunosuppressive medications.

I went through all the testing for Myasthenia Gravis and the neurologist ruled it out...Feels it's due to cranial nerve damage...like Bell's palsy due to lupus...He has suggested eye lid lift and prizm glasses. Praying that's the answer so I can drive without an eye patch locally and have more freedom
