Buffalo, NY

I have been dealing with a headache since a few days before Christmas. I’ve also been dizzy, extremely tired and frequently nauseous. I chalked it up to stress and other ailments since my rheumatologist brushed off my issues. I saw my neurologist and she suggested an MRI which showed increased pressure. Getting a lumbar puncture Tuesday and hoping this helps.

I haven't had this, but lupus can rarely cause elevated intracranial pressure. In the past, it was thought that birth control and tetracycline antibiotics might be a cause, but it's not definitely linked to these. The lumbar puncture should help confirm the diagnosis and help relieve the pressure, too.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
