I had shoulder replacement. It's a lot like @A MyLupusTeam Member said. If you follow your therapist plan for you the recovery is much easier. When you do, you'll notice the difference between before surgery and aft,er. One of the biggest challenges post-PT is to learn not to sleep on the operated side. If you do, the constant pressure will cause some pain when you wake up each day. I learned this the hard way.
Please keep us updated on your surgery date and recovery.

Thank you. Surgery is February 28th. I figured sleeping is going to be tough. I can hardly lay on that side now because of the pain. All I do is flip and flop all night. I have a recliner that I think I'll be using to sleep. Have to find good therapist unfortunately the best one's by me don't take my insurance. Thank you for caring and I'll definitely keep updating. I appreciate the support 🙏❤
Oh girl. Well, if you e handled PT before maybe you’ll be just fine. Look forward to sleeping peacefully again. Praying for you.
My Mom was in a lot of pain prior to surgery and after she finished her PT, she was good as new and to this day has never had anymore problems with it. Just keep Maria’s advice in mind about sleeping. Sending a big hug …..and, yes, please keep us updated. Good luck !!!
Sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery. But you will do fine! I had it in 2004 from a horse fall. My PT was short, they taught me what I could do at home. Just keep moving! And that sleep will be wonderful! Prayers and hopefulness for you.
