This was a cold winter and I just couldn't get my hands and feet warm - tried heat packs and everything. Only hot water helped and I suspect that caused the sores. Smallish red sores - not open sores, just swollen. Problem is, if I take a walk or do something like dishes, it starts to pain and I can't really walk or do anything with my hands. Any advice?
Wow - it's all the stuff I struggle with 💜 Thanc a mil!!!!
My doctor put me on low dose (5mg) Amlodipine, a blood pressure medication. It’s made a HUGE difference. My hands and feet no longer go numb and painful just from the house temps being lower than 70 degrees. The doctor adjusted my long term blood pressure medicine down to add the Amlodipine. Incidentally, my blood pressure has been better too!
I have had sores on my thumbs that stay infected. They dry out and start to bleed. Been like this for over 2 months. My doctor tried to give me an antibiotic because I even had this infection on one of my toes but the medication made me sick like most do I couldn’t take it. So he gave me a cream instead. Helped the infection on my toe but still fighting the ones one my thumbs. I try not to keep my hands wet except when washing them. I use gloves when I do dishes.
You really have to find that sweet spot on the temp. If you have a dishwasher use it if not get a portable that is what I did. I got one I roll up and attach to my faucette.
