I do get migraines with visual aura as well, and have some other issues going on at the moment with transient vision loss episodes. I have a rapid access stroke prevention centre consult with a neurologist booked for one week from now, but it feels like a long time to wait. However, if I go to emerg right now I doubt I’ll get a work up on the spot since the headache was two weeks ago …. At first I thought I would have to go to the hospital, but once it subsided I decided not to go, not having… read more

Look up signs of a stroke so you'll be familiar just in case.
If you ever experience those symptoms you want to not hesitate at all and go to the ER immediately. There's a clot busting drug available but it can't be given if the symptoms began past three hours of ER arrival. There are two types of Stokes: one is from a vessel blockage and the other is from a ruptured bleeding vessel in the brain. Both are emergent.
My friend had an abrupt vision change. She went to the opthalmologist and he sent her to a Metro hospital. She had a brain aneurysm. They operated and she was fine.
I just wanted you to have more info in case you need it later someday.

Hi, CTA looked perfect! Had my second Saphnelo infusion yesterday and feeling good so far. But if I have another headache like I did a couple of weeks ago I’ll go in right away since I know imaging are the time is the only way to catch certain causes like vasospasm and if it happens again I want to know as much as possible. Appointment with neuro next week so if anything else done like an MRI I’ll let you know how it goes!
