I would happily send you my extra weight. Lol. Seriously though, when I first had Lupus, I lost 42 pounds out of nowhere. My doctor had me start adding protein shakes and adding higher calorie meals to my diet. You can research recipes with high calories on the internet. Some are pretty gross and include lots of fried foods or gravy on everything, but I just added more breads/pasta/and more frequent meals to my day.

- Fatty fish (e.g., salmon, sardines)

- Protein-Rich Foods: Protein helps you feel full and supports muscle mass. Consider:
- Lean proteins like chicken, fish, egg whites, beans, peas, lentils, and tofu
- Nut butters (e.g., almond, cashew, peanut) on toast or apple slices

- Nutrient-Dense Foods: Focus on foods that are high in nutrients but also calorie-dense:
- Whole grains like whole-wheat bread and brown rice
- Fruits and vegetables, especially those low in potassium if you have kidney issues

- Healthy Snacks: Incorporate snacks that are both nutritious and calorie-dense:
- Guacamole on crackers or sandwiches
- Canned or smoked salmon in place of tuna salad or cold cuts

- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: These are beneficial for autoimmune diseases and can be found in:
- Flaxseeds (can be added to granola, cereal, yogurt, baked goods, or smoothies)
- Chia seeds mixed into yogurt or oatmeal

Always consult with your healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet to ensure they align with your treatment plan.
