I use a moisturizing soap that doesn't have chemicals in it is the best. I also use a moisturizing oil on my driest part of the body which is my shins. I love my hot water so I can't do the lower temperature. I just try not to stay in the shower very long.

I'm constantly using the nyastatin and antifungal creams right now. The rashes are totally attacking my legs and leaving scars. Have to see a dermatologist this month

It also helps to use moisturizer on the skin while it's still a little moist, rather than toweling dry completely.

I recommend that people with Lupus sould dispose of harsh chemicals and only use fragrance free, no additives products ,like Cetaphil to shower with. Cetaphil also comes as a moisturer.
I have suffered from allergies to many shower products.
I also recommend not to take very hot showers. Lukewarm water is best for people suffering from Lupus.
I hope this was helpful

In the winter months especially, dermatologists recommend soaping only the critical areas--armpits, pelvic/anal, etc., as we don't sweat and don't need to dry out the rest of our body with soap.
