For lupus, you'll want to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Many MyLupusTeam members recommend using SPF 70 or higher for better protection. Remember to reapply every two hours, or more frequently if you get wet. Beyond sunscreen, protect yourself by:
- Wearing sun-protective clothing
- Using a wide-brimmed hat and dark polarized sunglasses
- Avoiding sun exposure between 10am-4pm
- Using an umbrella for additional protection
- Considering window tinting for your car

Given your symptoms of rashes on your face and toes, consulting with a dermatologist would be helpful to develop a comprehensive sun protection strategy specific to your needs.
