Natasha, I hate to hear you're struggling so much. The high-pitched noise you're hearing is probably tinnitus, an inner ear disturbance, which can also be associated with dizziness. Do you have a good neurologist who is evaluating you? An MRI sounds like a good idea, given your problems walking, etc. Please keep us posted! Sending blessings and hugs.😘

When experiencing neurological symptoms with lupus, such as weak or absent reflexes, it's important to follow up promptly with medical care. A neurological exam is a standard part of lupus evaluation, where doctors test reflexes, coordination, and sensation to check for signs of nerve damage.

Getting an MRI as recommended by the ER is crucial, as neurological symptoms can indicate serious lupus complications that require immediate attention. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these neurological symptoms:
- Seizures
- Difficulty focusing or maintaining thoughts
- Persistent memory problems
- Sudden severe headaches
- Sudden neck stiffness
- Numbness or paralysis in face, arms, or legs
- Problems with walking, speaking, or vision If you're experiencing serious symptoms, don't hesitate to call emergency services rather than driving yourself. Paramedics can provide initial care and stabilization before transport if needed.
