My lupus causes my blood clots.
If I can't take turmeric, what can I use.
Yes, that's true, Lisa. Omega-3 fatty acids found in flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, and fish oil can help. Some find fish oil tablets helpful. Ginger is anti-inflammatory, too, as is a plant-based diet.
There are several other anti-inflammatory foods and nutrients you can try instead of turmeric:
• Vitamin A-rich foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, and pumpkin
• Vitamin C-rich foods including red peppers, citrus fruits, broccoli, and russet potatoes
• Selenium-rich foods such as nuts and eggs

I highly agree with Niranjana as I used ginger to helped me with pain. Plus it was keeping my mouth moist while on Lupus medications which seem to dry me out. When I could I did eat flaxseed and Chia seeds and they helped to keep me full and my bowels regular. I am praying for you Lisa. God bless
