Many MyLupusTeam members experience similar scalp issues with itching, flaking, and sore-like bumps. While medicated shampoo is a good start, there are several additional steps you can take to help manage these symptoms:

• Reduce shampooing frequency - try just rinsing with water between washes
• Choose gentle, fragrance-free shampoos without harsh chemicals
• Avoid products containing sodium lauryl sulfate
• Look for soothing natural ingredients like aloe vera or coconut oil
• Test new products on a small area first for 7-10 days before full use If your symptoms persist despite these measures, it's important to discuss them with your doctor or dermatologist. They may recommend prescription treatments or need to evaluate if there are other factors contributing to your scalp symptoms.
