Should you see a doctor about shortness of breath?

Yes, you should seek medical attention for shortness of breath, especially if it's accompanied by extreme fatigue. This combination of symptoms needs to be evaluated by a healthcare provider.

Shortness of breath can be a serious symptom that requires immediate attention. If you're experiencing any of these additional symptoms, seek medical help right away:

* Dizziness
* Racing heart rate
* Cold sweats
* Pain or pressure in your chest
* Pain that doesn't go away after a few minutes

While fatigue is common with lupus, shortness of breath combined with overwhelming tiredness warrants medical evaluation. Don't wait until Monday if your symptoms feel concerning—consider urgent care or an emergency room if you feel something is seriously wrong.

It's always better to have a medical professional assess your symptoms rather than waiting, especially when breathing difficulties are involved. Trust your instincts about your body.
