How can you prevent doctors from withholding information or denying needed medication, and do you need a lawyer?

Yours too!
@A MyLupusTeam Member I'm so happy you found a competent Rheumatologist you can trust and a husband you love my dear friend, you are right, both are rare gems. I'm still looking for a competent Rheumatologist, who is willing to take on this complex challenge aka as my health, but in due time I too will have a Rheumatologist I can trust and who will prevent ER visits and hospital stays for years to come. I'm so fed up of ERs........
I found a better doctor. I found a PCP that if he made a mistake we talked about it and that is hard to find. And moving forward he never discounts my complaints or symptoms. Hes a lot like me. We are human and make mistakes when we get too busy but then go back and reflect and acknowledge it. And move forward. It took many many years to find this PCP and he and I are keeping me alive and out of the hospital. My PCP controls my Rheumatologist and my lung doctor. He puts the pressure on them if I am not feeling well and he is mighty. I love it that he and I like keeping me out of the hospital. I just manage my rest. diet, exercise and herbs. He tells me what meds are good and puts pressure on my specailty doctors. We had a diffence about Rheumatologist and he let me chose and now my Rheumatologist prescribed the best medications for me. He listened and did not discount my complaints or symptoms. I know it was like finding a needle in a haystack. Like my hubby.
