Is it possible that you don't have lupus after seeing a rheumatologist?
Yes, there's definitely a possibility. Lupus can be challenging to diagnose because several conditions can produce similar symptoms, which is why it's sometimes called "the great imitator."

Omgosh sweetie if I had a dime for Everytime I was told that well let's just say I'd be living in a one level beach house with 70 degree temp all year round. I certainly hope you don't have it but blood work is yes I do this month and then no markers hit next time so it makes you feel crazy at times when 10 Drs tell you yes I have SLE and then 5 Drs will say you do not have SLE. It's such a battle mentally that's for sure I'm now on year 16 :(
Anita I was diagnosed and treated for lupus for 20plus years. My rheumatologist retired and I went to a new one who told me he was not convinced I had lupus. He said he knew I had some type of connective tissue disorder. But he continued with same drug regimen and said it was working well so he wasn’t going to change it. He didn’t explain it well to me at all. He retired and the drs I am seeing now has changed my diagnosis on my records from lupus to undifferentiated connective tissue disease. This time explaining what that meant. So after 26 years I guess it’s actually not lupus but I still have issues that indicates there is some type of autoimmune condition. I just pray that it stays as well controlled as it has all these years. Let us know if you find out any additional information about your condition.
