Some days I feel okay, but others I have bad joint pains, headaches and zero energy. I never know what the day will hold and I suppose that's normal. But I get so short tempered and everything stresses me out. Still in the process of trying not to feeling guilty on days when I feel bad. Any suggestions on learning to cope and when I could possibly see a positive effect on the plaquenil?

I've been on plaqunil for 6 years along with methotrexate and it seems to manage the symptoms well. It did take some time to start working but my doc had me on steroids and pain killers in the meantime to manage the bad flare until it passed. I haven't had any side effects that I've been able to identify but kind of hard to know with a cocktail of drugs!

II have had lupus for 25 yrs , I have a host of specialist treating specific problems I have that I have, there is sa pill for everything. I am alive still but feel awful, I have had a stroke, a heart attack, an my kidneys are bad. When first diagnosed I did not take it seriously🙁 I can't go back, but if I could I would not listen to those who tell me a little sun won't hurt you. I still hear it.
