I went though a period where I was experiencing chest pressure and heart palpitations as well as high BP last year. It lasted a couple months then subsided. I notice that if I overdo it or am out in the sun too long, I feel chest heaviness and palpitations as well. I had ekg, nuclear stress test but the results showed no abnormalities. In addition to lupus, I also have thyroid issues so I'm not sure which may be the trigger.

I wore the Holter as well but all was found was 1 side of my heart is enlarged. I also have breathing issues and was placed on a rescue inhaler and symbicort twice/day. My doc says these are all likely lupus related. Since lupus symptoms are different for everyone noone knows what is related and whats not. Just take care of the symptoms you have regardless if anyone thinks they are related. In the end i don't think anyone really knows without a doubt.

I experienced the same symptoms about seven months ago. Also had a holster, stress test, mri etc...was put on beta blockers to reduce the palpitations and the extra heart beat which was causing the chest tightness and pain.

I agree just was asking... I have sleep apenea but I've been noticing the chest discomfort and the irritation alot lately especially when I'm doing alot if actvties. ..guess I'll go back to my resting until I go back to the doctor in a few weeks
