I use to get the mouth ulcers & blisters all over my lips. But since I started taking Lysine everyday along with my other vitamins & medications it has gotten so much better!! Every once in awhile I will get a single blister on my lip but nothing like before! I take Lysine in the morning & night. You can get it at Walmart.

I'm dealing with mouth sores right now. I had them for a wee and it burns and hurt real bad. I can barely talk
or drink. I was excited because I had a doctor appointment today because I'm going through a flare right now and been on liquids for three weeks. I'm very hungry and losing weight. Can't sleep cause in pain. Oh my gosh everything is wrong! I wanted to tell about the mouth sores. How about I get there after I had to really myself together to get there; They tell me I'm schedule, she can't see me and she's booked. All I could do is start crying. The next appointment is next Monday @ 2:00pm I can't deal with these mouth sores much longer. Question: If my mouth hurts and burns, will the salt water make it worse? I hope you can get some help sooner than I can because this is not fun. Have a good day.

I have the same problem...warm salt water rinses and sometimes I also use peroxide as well. I always brush my teeth 3-4 times a day if possible and I use Bio-tene mouth rinse for dry mouth. I have a small bottle I carry in my purse.

I've read that Lysine helps with sores, you should google it to learn more about it. The feeling of raw torn flesh in the mouth may be due to eating/inhaling/touching something you may have an immune response to. An allergic reaction (IgE) immune response usually occurs within 24 hours of contact, most often these types of reactions present symptoms within the hour. An intolerance immune reaction (IgM or IgA) typically occurs up to 72 hours later. It's difficult to pinpoint what causes an intolerance immune response without keeping notes. It has been some time since I researched this, so you may want to look this up to learn more about how it affects you.
