Hello, I am new to the site and I was wondering if anybody has had much improvement when following a Vegan or close to vegan diet. I have removed Gluten from my diet which made a huge difference and I am contemplating a vegan diet.
Thanks,
Thank you, I have noticed the same. I've decided to go dairy freee in addition to gluten free. We also cut pork and beef out of our diets. I should probably mention that I had to get off Imuran do to side effects (skin cancer) and I am now only on Plaquenyl and very limited Prednisone. I want to give these dietary changes a month and see how it goes :).
Cheers
Yes it does, thank you for taking the time to share.
I went gluten free years ago along with taking various supplements and I believe it contributed to a decade remission. I had good results this time but not a complete remission. I upped my veggie/fruit intake and cut out gluten free carbs. I do have lean meat in moderation. It has helped. If I go off track and have gluten I will flare.
Same for me but I stop taking Imuran as soon as I saw it as one of the side effects. Now I tapered off Prednisone and I am only taking Plaquenyl.
Take care
What kind of skin cancer was yours. I had Schamous Cell carcenoma on my skin. I am still on Imuran however. Happy to hear about the diet. I am going to soon.
