I have been researching and researching and I can't seem to find the answers. I noticed a small lump on my arm, the backside really. Didn't think much of it, because you really couldn't tell unless you ran your hand across my arm. Then months later I started noticing a bruise accompany the lump. So I decided to see a dermatologist. She didn't even know what it was, so she had to do a biopsy. Now I'm left with an ugly small hole. But whatever. So that took like a month to get results back and it… read more

I was like you with Discoid lupus, but then it progressed to SLE with cutaneous lupus. I had fatty deposit bump removed from arm. I have fibromas on my leg. I also get deep under the skin blisters along hairline plus the Discoid lesions on face. The biopsies show inflammation deep in dermis and then the epidermis cells proliferate. . I have an autoimmune derm now. I've tried every steroid & non-steroid creams, laser treatment, and honestly the Kenalog steroid injections into those bumps have been the only thing to take down the inflammation & make the bump go down.

Thank you all for the feedback. And this is definitely one of those weird things where NO one seems to know exactly what it is and the causes... if it's limpomas or something else... or if it's lupus related or not. I know at dome point I need to get a bit more serious but all I think about is the copays I'll have to pay with each doctor visit. Sigh God Bless you all.

I get the brown spots on my face and arms.... and a brown rash type thing on my forehead at the hairline. It comes down on my forehead about an inch or so. It's not as pronounced as it was when I was first diagnosed in 2011. I have lumps on my feet.... they are hard.... my rheumatologist doesn't know what they are and I've not gone to any other doctor.... they don't bother me too much right now as long as I'm careful about what type of shoes I wear.
You never know if it's something from lupus itself or something caused from the medicine you must take for lupus.
Don't wait too long to see a rheumatologist.... lupus can take an ugly turn very quickly and you end up down and out for a long time.
I don't know if my comments will actually help.... but know you're definitely not alone. God Bless!

My aunt has a bunch of them on both arms. She's in her 70's and is the only one on my father's side that has them. Now since being diagnosed with lupus and taking this medicine I have a small lump on the back of my upper arm. It's not soft and it doesn't move around at all, just stays there.

I have lots of lumps under the skin it seems it runs in the family. I was told there is nothing to worry about if they don't hurt you it is just fatty deposits. Not sure if yours are the same or not. Ask if anyone else in your family has them also, my grandmother, aunt and mother had them also. gentle hugs and blessings
