Along with the fatigue, swollen nodes, and rash that started appesring yesterday, I have noticed sores on the roof of my mouth. Is that common in flare as well? The dont hurt unless I really push on them with My tongue. Attached is a picture. I have gotten mouth sores before but not this many on the roof of my mouth.
The mouth sores were one of the symptoms that led to my diagnosis. I also had sores under my nose. The ones in my mouth were very painful and it was difficult to talk or eat. Nothing really helps..they go away when the Lupus flare subsides. I do not get them too much now since I take Plaquinil. Just finished a flare from being in the sun too long. I spent 4 days in bed with severe fatigue and weakness and joint pain. Also a migraine and low grade fever. It is always hard for me to accept that this disease can do so much damage. Hope you feel better soon.
I had mouth sores when I was in the hospital when I was newly diagnosed
I was awful, now I get cold sores my doctor gave me Valtrex. this really helps and I rise my mouth with Colgate Peroxyl Mouth Sore Rinse. One of the girls in my Orthodontist office told me about it when I started Invisaline. I may burn so dilute it with a little warm water.
Blessings and prayers
I wash my mouth out with a strong mouth wash. That seems to help also.
Mouth sores are a normal symptom of lupus. They are common in some of us lupus patients. Be sure and let your rheumatologist know about them. They like to keep track of all of our symptoms to ensure we are receiving proper treatment. Take care.
I get the sores but I also get what looks like bloodblisters. They are little round circles about the size of the tip of smaller pinky (lol my pinky is bigger) and stays sometimes a day or two then goes a way. Sometimes it dissappear the same day. Anyone have these?
