Thinking about changing my diet just a little bit. Like non-dairy and brown rice. If anything help with your lupus due to a diet, send it my way please.

I just started one, I went to my kidney doctor and found out I have high potassium which I have never had before. So I have cut out of course potatoes and no more than a half cup of dairy a day that was a bad one for me because i used cream for my coffee. There is a lot of healthy food with it in it also. But I have lost 12 just doing that and started about 3 weeks ago. So basically eater healthier, stopped the junk eating and it seems to be working but I do add treats every now and then, I am afraid if I don't I will start binge eating again. Good luck to you. Once I have the potassium under control I find weight watchers is the best for a well-balanced diet. gentle hugs and blessings

I have found that sugar is my enemy as well as carbohydrates. My hands, feet and legs swell terribly , it hurts to use them. I too am on water pills which help but I really have to avoid the triggers as much as possible. If I am really good I will notice improvement within a few days . Hope this helps..

I tried everything! Vegan made me really sick, and my iron levels went extremely low, still recovering from it.
I am on Keto for a week now and I feel very energized! I can’t believe I don’t miss sugar at all! Plus protein keeps me feeling full all day.
I am off soda for 12 years now. My substitute is mineral water like San Pellegrino and lemon or Stevia fruit drops. Yum!
Before Keto, I just watched what I eat: no white bread for 12 years at least, lots of fiber and protein.
But, this is just me. I miss my energy that I had before Lupus, so I am very excited about the way I feel now...
I hope you find the best diet that works for you personally!
Don’t be afraid to try different things for a month at least.
Good luck!
