Is this common for lupus ? My feet and legs are hurting more
My legs and feet are the worst. I also get tingling in my feet.
I have a ganglion cyst on my pointing finger. It was drained and back the very next day. It is benign. You will be in my prayers. God Bless
I recently had an ultrasound of both legs. I had fairly good circulation even though my feet and legs get cold, tingly, numb in spots, and, purplish blue in color. No clots. No cartilage in either knee. It is bone on bone. I do have a cyst in my right knee too. It usually hurts more than the left knee. I have had times where I told people I felt like I was giving birth through my feet!!! Just no prize at the end of the pain. Both hands hurt lots, too. I have had a cyst on the left hand years ago. I now have a cyst at the base of my right thumb that effects the whole hand with lots of pain and inability to close it. We are watching it for a while. Also, watching the large lipoma on my right hip and the tumor they are afraid to take out that is deep between the thoracic vertebrae and the descending aorta. They are afraid to touch it. If it is benign it can still kill or paralyze me if it shifts or grows. It no longer scares me. I focus on the things I can do something about instead of those I can't. Gave it to God. He knows where I am, if he wants me. Truly forget that one most of the time. They found it February 2008 by accident. They set up surgery and then canceled it. Said they didn't think I would make it off the table. Lately I feel like my body is exploding with tumors and cysts!!! I plan to get rid of the ones I can. Not ready to go yet.
Are you in your 40s or 50s? I was having a lot of joint pain and thought that it was my lupus over the past few years. My rheumatologist insisted that my labs have been very stable and probably not related to the lupus. I was lost! Since I like to exercise daily, that got to be too much for my body to handle. Ended up going to my GYN, and they have found that I'm popping ovarian cysts left and right too frequently. She put me on low dose birth control pills to stabilize my hormones (I'm 47, so definitely in peri). The joint pain has mostly subsided and hopefully the cysts will go away. Never knew that our sex hormones affected the joints. Also, most lupus symptoms are also symptoms of menopause. So, mention this to your GYN if you aren't getting help from your RHEUM.
I have Peripheral Neuropathy in my legs and feet. When I was 9 I started with bad leg pains and was told I had growing pains. I must still be growing because my feet and legs hurt bad. I am on 800 mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day for it.
