I highly suggest that anyone interested in exploring the link between trauma and immune system disorders read the book The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van Der Kolk.
It's the only book I've read that definitely says, "It's not all in your head."

If you are tired of doctors blaming your physical illness on your trauma, you need to read this book!

I was just reading up on the same subject: the books title is … When the Body says No… Exploring the Stress-Disease
Connection by Gabor Mate MD. Amazon sells for like 18.00 but I’m wondering if I can get from the library?

I think my past trauma, grief caused my depression, anxiety, ptsd and panic attacks. But stuffing the trauma and grief for 16 years and bubbling to the top and at the same time was when my first symptoms of peuropsychiatric lupus started. But I had been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 30 years ago while the trauma was happening. So I do believe that not dealing with any kind of abuse or trauma kept In will come out in your health.
