They did an ultrasound to confirm NAFLD. I also tested positive for Celiacs which causes increased permeability. I have the MTHFR snp too, so I need bioavailable vitamins and help with detoxing. I usually take NAC to help with detoxing. Just know leaky gut isn't an official diagnosis most MDs note. But, then the same doctors who wouldn't recognize it also wouldn't recognize a nuclear test of my gallbladder which was positive for disease. Many want to see stones in a gallbladder before they remove it. Functional and integrative medicine doctors are more likely to diagnose and treat leaky gut.

Waw precious information, thank you. The thing is I was using the health insurance and rhumatogists seemed to have a strict protocol to follow, they wouldn't accept to do tests without symptoms and they would control other specialists too through their connection ... Anyway, I've done once Gimap test in a private clinic to check what's going on out there and guess what they found, candida overgrowth , other opportunistic bacteria and even eH pylori! While I was taking cellcept...so I've decided to stop cellcept and took antibiotics, lupus flared again , but at least I eradicated H pylori.πŸ«ͺ Le test was too expensive but I'm glad I don't have parasites or Epstein virus...

How did you check for leaky gut, gastro are not helping me because I have no symptoms. It's been said that's the cause of Lupus because the body is fighting the little particles passing through... A special diet may help. Good luck 🀞
