I have just recently been diagnosed. When I am not having a flare I actually have more energy, and what I consider mild symptoms (joint stiffness and pain). But when I'm in a flare I feel like death. Is this typical for lupus? When not in a flare to have just very mild symptoms??
I have also done something similar to this per doctors orders. He called it the "Caveman Diet". Ate NOTHING but boiled or broiled meat and fresh fruits and veggies for 30 days. Then slowly introduced other stuff back. Was able to find out which foods my body hates! Felt great to clean the system too. :-)
TaraEdgeLittlejohn believe me I feel you. I just did a crazy detox & have felt I think what people call "normal" painfree! and asked the same question do I really have Lupus?? But unfortunately the blood panels don't lie. But hey I currently feel amazing!! Hope you have better good days than bad. Rest on bad days or try to take it easy on those days. But on Good days Celebrate!! At least that's what I do❣
@A MyLupusTeam Member so I did a 30 day detox of literally Only organic chicken (Any parts will do, plug legs l& thighs will provide the fat content you need) and organic brown rice and drinm tons of water. (No seasonings nothing) For breakfast lunch & dinner. Alot of times food llays a huge part in how our bodies feel. Not realizing there are so many foods that create natural inflammatory. With autoimmune it will cause us flare ups so with that. After 30 days you will slowly introduce fruits 1 week, vegatables the following, dairy, grains (gluten free) easier on the body, meats, etc. I started the detox Apr 4, 2016 & since then I have not had 1 flare up. I am working out, feeling stronger & better than ever. Prior to this I was very fatigued, in bed due to joint pain & sometimes didn't want to leave the house. Keep me posted, & if you need to stay I track let me know I will walk you through it. I did this & I would do it all over again knowing how good I feel & now only only 5 meds compared to 14! Praise God. It will be difficult but clean eating is the best for our bodies & for our disease. Lupus messed with the wrong chick 🐤 😉
Absolutely. You actually just described me in a way....
Yes for sure, there are times when my flares up were constant & I was unable to funtion. Other times especially right now where symptoms are mild to none. Thank God for those & all other days😊 I have been diagnosed for about 3 years now & feeling better than ever. Hope this helps😉
