For the past year or so I have been experiencing awful pain and cramping in my stomach with bloating and swelling along with diarrhea and constipation alternating. I see a gastroenterologist who is no help and just constantly tells me to take nexium. I have had scan after scan and they come back normal. Have any of you been prescribed medication for similar issues and if so, did it hrlp and did you have side effects? Thank you so much!!!
IBS. It’s very common with lupus. If you notice lack in appetite. Then pig out. Then stomach issues then loss in appetite then same. Circle of gastro lupus life
I take Nexium OTC. It really helps me with stomach pains and diarrhea. I love Nexium it really helps my heart burn.
I have ulcerative colitis, which came before the lupus, has your GI done a colonoscopy, seems to me that would be the next step
My stomach was the first to be affected then bowels ..they couldnt find a reason ...now with my new diagnosis ..looking back these issues make sense that it was probably the start of what I have now
